We are delighted to welcome Liz O’Brien a principal social scientist within the Society and Environment Group and Joe Beesley a spatial scientist in the Land Use and Ecosystem Services Group at Forest Research. They will present a recently completed Nature for Climate Fund (NCF) project focused on ‘Understanding, enabling and supporting public access to woodlands’. This presentation will outline their spatial analysis of existing access to woodlands, outline land managers views on access, and highlight the challenges and opportunities of diverse public’s in accessing woodland.
