The Outdoor Recreation Network (ORN) invites you to a truly special Event! Join us FOR ‘ORN – Planning the Future: A Very Special Member Meeting‘ on Thursday, 21st November 2024, at the spectacular Leigh Court in Bristol.
ORN is a growing network, bringing together organisations across the outdoor recreation sector in the UK and Ireland, and this event is your chance to actively shape its future and learn from experts in this sector. As we take bold steps towards developing our new Action Plan (2025-2028), we’re calling on our members to participate in dynamic workshops focused on the top 6 priority themes identified in a recent survey of members and stakeholders. These are:
- Access and accessibility
- Enhancing public health and wellbeing
- Managing impacts of climate change
- Inclusion and diversity
- Economic pressures, funding, and resource allocation
- Sustainability, environmental impact, and conservation
This workshop will offer an ideal mix of brainstorming, networking, and actionable planning.
Here’s what in store:
- Be inspired: Engage with thought leaders and have your say in dynamic workshops!
- Collaborate with peers: Connect with peers in outdoor recreation, foster collaboration, and inspire innovation.
- Shape the future: Your contributions will directly influence ORN’s future strategy and action plan, helping to tackle issues like climate change, inclusivity, and evolving recreation trends.
- First sneak preview of the new ORN website!
With ORN continuing to grow, this event is packed with fantastic networking opportunities. For larger organisations, it will be a brilliant way to connect with others across the sector and share knowledge and findings from your latest research. For smaller organisations, it is valuable opportunity to network with a diverse range of influential partners and ensure your ideas help shape their thinking.
This is a unique occasion to take part in something impactful—where your leadership can help set the course for the future of outdoor recreation. We are confident that your insights will spark important conversations and drive meaningful action. We highly encourage member organisations to bring along multiple representatives (2 or more), so you can contribute a diverse range of perspectives and expertise to these key discussions.
