Help shape ORN training and learning events for 2026/27
10 Feb 2026
As we come to the close of the 2025/26 events year, we wanted to share a short “you said, we did” snapshot of how ORN training and events have delivered against the ORN Action Plan 2025–2028 — and to invite our members and partners to help shape the year ahead.
Over the past year, ORN has delivered a wide-ranging programme of webinars and in-person events, aligned to the Action Plan’s key themes, including:
– Connecting Health and Nature: Growing Green Social Prescribing
Enhancing health and wellbeing
– Climate Resilience in Outdoor Recreation
Managing the impacts of climate change
– Regenerative Approaches to Outdoor Tourism
Protecting nature, responsible access & improving accessibility
– Delivering the new Coast-to-Coast National UK (coming this April)
Protecting nature, responsible access & maximising impact with limited resources
These sessions were shaped by member feedback and focused on practical delivery, partnership working and real-world challenges across the sector.
Help shape ORN training for 2026/27
We’re now planning the 2026/27 ORN webinar programme, and we’d really value your input to ensure it continues to reflect member needs and sector priorities.
We’ve developed a longlist of proposed training topics and are asking members and stakeholders to take a few minutes to:
– Rank their top five priorities
– Suggest themes or speakers they’d like to see included
🗳️ Complete the poll by Friday 20 February 2026.
This poll relates specifically to webinars planned for 2026/27. Members have already provided strong and enthusiastic feedback on the 2-day in-person Masterclass on Responsible Recreation (currently in development by the Working Group), which will bring together policy, practice and case studies to support responsible access — more details on this coming very soon.
Thank you, as always, for your continued engagement and for helping to shape ORN’s work.
